I just finished reading Don Knight's book "Being". Wow - I feel lighter and more centered in my spiritual being and in my physicality in the way I see and experience the world and my life.
This was a good read that followed nicely, with warm felt insights, wonderful quotes from Masters, and many, many Pearls of wisdom.
My favorite Pearl is "Harmony is the eternal purring of the Divine Life…" I can actually feel this spiritual metaphor!

I self vs. True SelfAlmost all of humanity is suffering from an identity crisis. The strong, deeply centered belief that each person is a separate individual from everyone else, is the single greatest woe on this planet. The ultra strong belief in the I self that one considers oneself to be, generates fear on many levels. Everywhere calamities can be seen. The conflicts and horrific sufferings on every level of life are due to the false belief in who and what one thinks oneself to be. Believe it or not, the belief that one is an I self is stronger than the belief in God. The I self is a mentally fabricated belief that has risen from not knowing one's True identity.
BEING - Guidelines to the Heart clearly points out the task of uncovering the false perceptions that govern and regulate our lives. Knowing what makes up the sense of a personal I ness, is the freedom we are all looking for, the freedom of being the master of our own mental world. And in that freedom the Source of Who and What we are, reveals Itself, filling the mind with the beautiful wonder of our True Identity.
Spiritual ScienceThe bottom line of all religions is that God wants all who worship Him, to turn their hearts and minds fully back to Him, so they can feel His loving beneficience inside themselves. To the Truth students who are seeking the loving beneficience of God within, their need is to come to an actual knowing that they are not a separate I self entity that is in any way different from the God within themselves. The sole purpose of any spiritual discipline is to bring the consciousness of the individual into the knowing that he/she is the God they have always sought. Spiritual Science is the teaching that God is ONE, and that all are the ONE.
The scientists and religionists will recognize one day that they are on the same path. Each is sincere, the religionist in wanting to know God, and the scientist in wanting to know the secrets of the universe. Let both explore the newly coined term "intelligent design" to its fullest context, for here they have common ground. Scientists will come to the easy conclusion that there is a Superior Intelligence that has brought everything to be, and the religionist will expand their beliefs by recognizing that beliefs held in mind can never contain the vast superiority of God Intelligence. Each in their seeking will find their knowledge of God and the universe, to be full of wonders far beyond theories and beliefs. The one safe conclusion that all will come to realize is, that this is a spiritual universe, and that everything is spiritual in nature. Such knowing erases all previous ignorance in the light of what actually is.
Civilizations can only flourish endlessly when each one knows oneself to be Love, and in that Love all live in an all pervading harmony that nothing can disturb. Spiritual Science is the high school of learning without which, Divine Love remains hidden. None are exempt from learning their Divine Nature, it is only a matter of when.
Non-Judgmental SeeingProbably ranking next to our self-separating I thoughts, is thinking ourselves to be separate from the wholeness of which we are, are our judgmental thoughts. We judge others like it is the natural thing to do, until we become aware of what really goes on in our thoughts. So much of what we see and hear is really none of our business. Jesus pointed this out to Peter when he wanted to know what was going to happen to John (Jn. 21:22) "…..what is that to thee? Follow thou me."
Jesus told us not to judge by appearance, because appearance is just a tiny portion of what's going on in the life of a person. Judgment does no good whatsoever, as it separates us one from another, sometimes with knife-like brutality. Our world does not need tearing down; it needs building up. Buddha taught us to have compassion on others and all life. Jesus told us to bless those who offend and are offensive to us. All are Christs in embryo and deserve being seen beyond the appearances of what our senses would have us believe. Ours is to see everyone as they eternally are, pure and perfect as the day our Creator extended them forth into this world. In doing so we automatically lift ourselves up to the Christ way of seeing.
ForgivenessEnough cannot be said for the value of the pathway Jesus outlined when He said, "….forgive seventy times seven." He could see all the hindering, harmful things that pile up in our consciousness. Sometimes we need to forgive others for the abuses they have inflicted upon us, but usually we need to forgive ourselves for feeling that we have the need to forgive others, for in looking deeply we may come to realise we have actually allowed their actions to hurt us in some way.
Forgiving seventy times seven simply means that a lot happens in life that we don't like, and that which we don't like ranges from the abhorent to the minutest irritation. If anything that we've experienced has caused us to hold on to negative, discomforting thoughts, forgiveness of ourselves is vital to our on-going well-being.
True forgiveness cannot be called an art or a skill. It is simply a true letting go process that takes place in the heart when there is a sincere desire to be free of all the painful memories of past experiences.
For some, forgiving those who have inflicted great injury upon them, is like trying to forgive tatoos, so deeply imbedded in consciousness are the painful scars. In such cases it will be necessary to reach down through all the painful feelings to touch that place in the heart where releasing can take place. It is not easy to do, but calling upon God to be free of pain will be the helping hand that makes forgiveness possible. To go through life without forgiving, distorts one's views on life. To carry that pain to the grave is unthinkable. Forgiveness does not make us weak; it can only make us stronger. As the truth of forgiveness goes - forgive and you are forgiven of having had the need to forgive.
Love's SplendorHappy is the one who is grateful every moment for all he has.
Happy is the one who has found forgiveness obsolete by seeing there is nothing to forgive.
Happy is the one who feels the pain of all who suffer.
Happy is the one who knows his Heart is his True Self.
Happy is the one who knows his nothingness and his Greatness at the same time.
Happy is the one who sees, feels and knows all life to be One.

AwakeningAt last the long awaited age of Oneness is upon us. Originally, we came here as Light, then we became individuated Light Beings. We descended further into coloescing substances, and as forms took on more physical shapes, we became Luminous Beings with a crystaline basis. We were singular Beings containing both magnetically positive and negative polarities. As we identified more and more with the form side of life, we gradually lost our Light identity, until our forms became carbon based, which then made it necessary in the scheme of evolutionary things, to divide the singular Light Beings that we were, into positive male and negative female polarities (Adam and Eve), for the sake of propagating the species and to gain experience in this dense plane of matter. Thus came the long age of individuality which we are now passing out of. Awakening to the knowing of what is now taking place, not only gives us a comprehensive picture of what is happening spiritually, but also the opportunity to consciously contribute our share in aiding the great transition in consciousness that is now taking place.
What we are seeing today, especially in the western world, is that everything is speeding up, due to the new much denser plasmic field (energy) that the whole of our solar system has moved into. This plasmic field, which is noted as the fourth arm of astronomy, is impinging upon all life throughout the solar system, causing increases in planetary magnetic fields and in the sun's solar activity. As stronger and stronger energies affect all planetary life on earth, its effects can be readily seen in the strenuous efforts of people trying to maintain their ways of living that are non-synchronous and incompatible with the incoming, scientifically verified, accellerated energies. As a result people are drowning in materiality. This not only blinds us to vital spiritual matters, it also hardens false perceptions about life, making it all the more difficult for enlightening spiritual information to reach us on meaningful levels.
These times can be seen as wonderful times by those who see the spiritual picture of what is happening, or they can be seen as fearful times, as old ways of false securities fall into non-existence. The ever increasing energies augment all the cooperative efforts that aim toward a working oneness, while the same energies add to selfish incentives, which in time will prove to be self destructive. As new energies quicken the pulse rate of life, it will be extremely wonderful on the one hand, but will become increasingly sad for those who want to live in their old selfish ways. This is the spiritual scenario being played out today.
Pinning down a time table for the whole of this transition in consciousness to play itself out is not possible, for we presently see time as being linear, and since spiritually there is no time, it is best to be present every moment, doing all one can do to bless and love all in this magnificient transition of cosmic proportion.
Your Physical Body (so called)We are moving into a time where life will be lived from the soul level of unified consciousness, instead of separate consciousnesses as it is lived now. Fundamental to the unified level of soul consciousness is seeing the universe in its magnetic make-up. The soul's magnetic energy is on a different plane than that of the universe's magnetic functioning. Magnetics in the plane of creation functions as positive and negative polarities; the interaction between the two poles is energy. The soul on its own plane is magnetic in itself.
Science in its methodologies has not yet conceived that magnetics is the functioning principle of matter. Electro-magnetics is the great field yet to be explored. This leaves us looking at our so called physical bodies without even half the picture of their actual functioning.
What we do know is that mental activity is electrical in nature as the mechanism of Bio-feedback of thought indicates. Our bodies are chemical in nature with all the various chemical structures having their respective electrically charged cellular make-ups as well. Mind, then, electrically affects our bodies' electro-chemical nature either harmoniously or adversely according to the positive or negative quality of our thoughts. Our bodies are not so much physical, as they are integrated units of harmonious energy patterns, which function in precision pulsations as the life of the body.
Let's take the idea of our bodies being non-physical a little higher. In "Love Without End by Glenda Green , Jesus said to Glenda, as He posed four months for her to paint His portrait, "…..matter is delineated infinity." Using different words, an off-earth Being said the same thing to Dino Kraspedon, a Brazilian physicist, in the early '50's, "……you see matter as being something, whereas it is only deformed space." Yaum (Universal Teacher) who taught in the Mystery Schools of the Far East, and who lived to be around 265 years old, when asked how he could live in the same physical body for over 3x3 score and 10, answered, "Well, my friend, when you know your true relationship to your physical body, there is nothing to wear out, you see. I never concern myself with the physical body." In these three instances, highly developed Intelligences tell us the physical world is not exactly as we have been taught. Our bodies are made up of energy. Longevity and the over-all health of the body depends upon our keeping all the energy patterns functioning harmoniously.
Seeing our bodies as an assembly of energies, rather than being just a physical construct, makes a profound difference, because of the subsequent harmonious effects our positive thoughts have on our bodies' intricate systems. In seeing our bodies as energy, we are also seeing, perhaps dimly at first, our bodies in the same light as does our Higher Consciousness, Who holds our bodies in Its ever sustaining, knowing Perfection. Thus we are in harmony with Spirit which is the Keeper of the Life Flame in our bodies to the last breath.
In the created image and likeness of God, we are unlimited. The spiritual destiny of everyone is to know the actualities of all aspects of life. Our bodies are beautiful, flexible, wonderful working mechanisms, capable of enduring usage and designed not to wear out. How much more beautiful will they be when we know their actual workings in conjunction with our spiritual nature. We are in for some dramatic revelations in the times ahead!
PracticesPart II of BEING describes the simple practice of gazing into - the Occipital area at the back of the head, the NOW Moment, the Inner Body, the Direct Path of Who am I?, Surrender and Seeing the Christ in others, each being a doorway to open the Heart. The practices work on the basis of gazing which allows the mind to become neutral, not thinking, but open, which then allows the Heart's Divine activity to be experienced. Like any new practice, effort and persistance is required for the mind to accustom itself to a new usage. Still, all in all, the practices are simple to do and are extremely rewarding.
